Indiana rape suspect captured in Mississippi
FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – Forrest County deputies announced a man, who was wanted in Indiana for rape and child molestation, was captured in Mississippi.

On April 8, Forrest County deputies said they were contacted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding a wanted man out of Indiana, who was believed to be in Mississippi.

Yonson Meza Argueta was wanted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana for five counts of molestation of a child, one count of rape and one count of dissemination of matter harmful to minors.

Through a coordinated effort between law enforcement agencies, investigators said Argueta was located and arrested in Picayune. He was transported to the Forrest County Jail, where he will await extradition back to Indiana.

Investigators said Argueta was attempting to reach the United States/Mexico border in an effort to evade arrest.
