The SWAT game does not really go into the storyline of the game or doesn’t at least introduce you to the terrorists or the fighters. This is primarily because the game’s name sets it up perfectly. SWAT is an elite police force that is usually called upon to eliminate terrorists and to tackle high pressure situations. You are part of the SWAT team that goes on different missions to take out terrorists and neutralize their attacks as quickly as possible.

The SWAT game doesn’t introduce you to any of the characters but it still does a good job with the tutorial. The tutorial is started as soon as the game is launched with the guided tutorial showing you how to start any level, how to upgrade your weaponry and how to shoot down the enemies. The game doesn’t really allow you to do any shooting practice and takes you directly to the first level where multiple enemies are waiting for you. The game teaches you how to move your aim, how to settle the aim and how to shoot at the enemy. The tutorial also instructs you on how to reload and on how to switch your weapons around. The tutorial also explains other controls that allow you to avoid hand grenades as well as avoid gunfire from the terrorists. The tutorial is great and while it would be better if the tutorial is slightly lengthier, it still does a great job of giving you a solid introduction of the game.
The SWAT game is extremely entertaining in its gameplay with offense and defense both needed to clear each level. The levels are different to one another with different types of missions offered in each level. You might be on the road for one mission while you might be on a ship for the next. You might be on machine gun duty in one mission and you might be in the air for the next. The varying environments provide a refreshing challenge in each level.

The controls of the SWAT game are also great and while it may take a while for you to get used to them, they are still easy to understand and make the gameplay more fun. You can duck enemy gunfire, move around to avoid bombs, throw bombs of your own, switch between different guns and take aim correctly to shoot down the enemies. Quick hands are a must in this game and you shouldn’t panic at any stage otherwise the pressure would eventually get to you and you might end up not completing the mission.
