
It’ll be a cold start to the day ahead. More than 120 million will open the day on Wednesday below freezing into Nashville, northern Alabama, and northern Georgia.
Temperatures will be in the teens and 20s in the Great Lakes into the Northeast.
Across the Chicago area, morning lows won’t be quite as cold as Tuesday due to more extensive cloud cover.
Daytime highs will continue below normal for a 6th consecutive day as cloud cover thickens throughout the morning.
The next round of chilly rain is set to arrive by lunch time and continue at various intensities throughout the evening.
Total precipitation is likely to be between 0.20” and 0.50” across the metro area.
The chillier-than-normal pattern will continue the next several days before an overall warming trend towards mid-month and beyond.
