MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Smoke was seen billowing from the forest after an RV was found engulfed in flames on a Madera County roadway on Tuesday.
Deputies say they responded to Road 274 near Marina View after receiving a report of a possible commercial vehicle fire. According to law enforcement, the smoke could be seen from the Bass Lake Dam.
After arriving on the scene, deputies say they found an RV fully engulfed in flames and the owner nowhere to be found.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, but deputies say arson investigators with CalFire will be looking into the incident.
