Michael Lynn More Jr., 39, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center and accused of multiple sexual assault-related charges, the Portland Police Bureau said.
On Tuesday night, Portland police said they responded to reports of a man “climbing fences and balconies” in the area of Southeast 30th Avenue and Southeast Schiller Street but did not find a suspect.
Then on Wednesday around 4:45 a.m., officers responded to reports of a burglary in the 4800 block of Southeast 30th Avenue.
“Officers learned a man broke into the apartment and assaulted a sleeping woman before another occupant in the apartment chased the man out,” the Portland Police Bureau said in a press release. “With the help of a UAS drone and a K9, officers located the suspect and took him into custody.”
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and later released. A PPB Victim Services Unit advocate has been assigned to her case, police said.
Mooore is facing charges that include first-degree burglary, first-degree unlawful sexual penetration, second-degree sexual abuse and third-degree sexual abuse.
The PPB Sex Crimes Unit is investigating but they don’t believe there are any more victims. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Portland police.
