SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — On Tuesday, officers arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman while she was sleeping, and officers say he posted about it online.
Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Topeka Street on April 6, 2025.
Upon arrival, they spoke to the female victim. She told police that she and Christopher Lyon were watching a movie and that she fell asleep around 2 a.m. on Friday, April 4.
Shreveport Police stated the victim reported that she later woke up to find Lyons’ arm around her and felt as though she had been sexually violated.
They said, during the investigation, the victim was able to provide evidence from social media where Lyons appeared to admit to inappropriately touching her.
On April 8, 2025, officers located and took Lyons into custody without incident. He was subsequently charged with sexual battery.
In Louisiana, sexual battery involves intentionally touching a victim’s anus or genitals without consent. A conviction could result in a prison sentence of up to 10 years for Lyons.
