Waitress battered by 2 women inside Pilsen restaurant

CHICAGO — Chicago police are searching for two women they say battered a 23-year-old woman in the city’s Pilsen neighborhood.

The incident happened around 8:40 p.m. Saturday on the 2100 block of West Cermak Road.

According to police, the woman was battered by two unknown female offenders, who then fled the scene.

People in the Pilsen neighborhood say the victim was injured inside the restaurant where she works, El Taco Azteca, located at 2151 West Cermak Road. They say the suspects were customers.

The woman was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition and was treated for minor injuries.

Efforts to speak with the restaurant management were unsuccessful, but WGN News has learned surveillance video captured the entire incident. 

No offenders are in custody. Area Four Detectives are investigating.
