Two arrested in connection with fatal Uptown New Orleans shooting

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Two people have been arrested in connection with a shooting that happened in Uptown New Orleans on Sunday, April 6.

The New Orleans Police Department reported that officers responded to the 7700 block of Willow Street early Sunday morning, where they found two men who had been shot and a third man who was uninjured.

One of the men who had been shot was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other was taken to a hospital for treatment.

According to the NOPD, the men were driving in the area when shots were fired.

On Tuesday, April 8, NOPD officials said 19-year-old Harry Darby and 18-year-old Julian Vicknair were arrested in connection with the investigation in St. Bernard Parish.

Darby and Vicknair face charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
