Three charged in connection with Evansville girl’s death

EVANSVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — A man and woman have been charged with child pornography, sexual exploitation, and sexual assault of a child, resulting from an investigation into the shooting death of an Evansville girl on Monday.

According to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, police were called to the 300 block of South Madison Avenue around 9:08 a.m. for the report of a shooting.

The victim was located, and first aid was administered, but she died a short time later after being transported to a local hospital, police said.

The victim has not been formally identified by police.

On Tuesday, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office announced that three people had been arrested as a result of the investigation.

Hunter Drefahl, 26, of Evansville, has been charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor Causing Death, Possession of Child Pornography, Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Child Enticement, and Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child.

Alyssa Ahrens, 20, of Evansville, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor Causing Death, Possession of Child Pornography, Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Child Enticement, Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, and Possession of Methamphetamine.

William Drefahl, 44, was arrested on a probation violation.

The case is still under investigation, authorities said.
