Tangipahoa Parish deputies search for teen with heart condition reported as missing

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WGNO) — In a 10:09 p.m. update, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that Aiden Reid was found in good health.


PONCHATOULA, La. (WGNO) — Deputies with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in searching for a teenager with a heart condition who was reported as missing from Ponchatoula on Monday, April 7.

The TPSO reported that 15-year-old Aiden Reid was last seen near Autumn Brook Drive and Rosaryville Road around 5:30 p.m. Deputies were notified around 6:15 p.m. after relatives began searching for him when he had been unaccounted for for about 45 minutes.

Deputies said Aiden’s bike was found near the woods behind his home.

TPSO officials said Aiden is 5 feet and 7 inches tall, with brown hair and was last seen wearing a black Under Armor Freedom shirt and navy Under Armor shorts with USA on them. According to the sheriff’s office, “Aiden is a heart patient with a pacemaker.”

Anyone with information about Aiden’s location call 911 if in Tangipahoa Parish and 985-345-6150 if outside the parish.
