Shreveport adjusts garbage pickup schedule for Good Friday

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—The garbage collection schedule in Shreveport will be changed temporarily.

With Good Friday approaching, Shreveport Garbage has released a revised schedule for the week of April 18.

  • Monday, April 14, 2025: garbage will be collected.
  • Tuesday, April 15, 2025: garbage will be collected.
  • Wednesday, April 16, 2025: garbage will be collected.
  • Thursday, April 17, 2025: garbage will be collected.
  • Friday, April 18, 2025: no garbage collections.

City offices will be closed for Good Friday. No bulk collections will be scheduled for this week. All heavy items called in will be scheduled for a future collection day. If you need additional information or would like to request a heavy item pickup, please call the Solid Waste Office at (318)-925-3500
