Diiorio had been plotting to use a hitman to kill her ex-boyfriend, a 53-year-old officer with the Philadelphia Police Department, and his 19-year-old daughter.
An informant had come forward to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit on April 3, saying that Diiorio had offered $12,000 to kill both victims.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, Diiorio had allegedly met with the informant on the 1300 block of North Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township on April 4, where she gave the informant $500 cash.
Once the money was handed over, Diiorio was immediately taken into custody by the Gloucester Township Police Department Special Response Team.
During the search of her possessions, police found a bottle of suspected alprazolam (Xanax) pills.
Diiorio is currently in the Camden County Correctional Facility, pending a detention hearing.
