Bossier Parish Community College hosting free small business expo

BOSSIER PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) is hosting a free Small Business Expo open to the public.
According to a press release, the Expo supports and celebrates local entrepreneurship while connecting aspiring business professionals with valuable educational and financial resources. Attendees will have the opportunity to:
  • Network with local entrepreneurs and small business owners
  • Explore vendor booths featuring products and services from area businesses
  • Attend a financial literacy session hosted by JP Morgan Chase at 11 a.m.
  • Learn about BPCC’s business programs and scholarship opportunities
The release added that BPCC’s College of Business and Information Technology faculty will be available to discuss the college’s associate and certificate programs, which are aligned with industry-based certifications (IBCs) to prepare students for success in today’s workforce. Programs highlighted include:
  • Accounting
  • Business Management
  • Customer Service
  • Human Resource Management
  • Small Business Entrepreneurship
  • Money and Banking
  • Retail Management
  • Culinary Arts
  • Healthcare Management

The Expo will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Building F, Room 203, on BPCC’s campus, 6220 East Texas St. in Bossier City.

“Whether you’re a small business owner, a student exploring career paths, or simply interested in learning more about local commerce, the Small Business Expo at BPCC offers something for everyone,” the release stated. “Join us for a day of networking, learning, and opportunity!”
