It’s Time to Play.
That’s the name for a mix and mingle of New Orleans nonprofits.
It’s the chance for you to meet them and for them to meet you.
“They are here to let you know about their mission and how you can get involved. You will either find a place you want to volunteer, a place you want to support financially or a place that’s providing services you didn’t know you needed,” said Ty Salvant.
WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood says if you’re looking for an opportunity to volunteer, that is to give a little of your time, then this is your time.
“At Generation Hope, we need both volunteers and sponsors to help teen parents succeed in college,” said Aeriona Thomas.
Time to Play.
It’s Wednesday, April 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Carousel Gardens in New Orleans City Park.
“The rush that you get from giving back to your community, from helping others, from making a difference is long lasting,” said Salvant.
