New Orleans city officials to discuss safety for upcoming festivals

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The City of New Orleans will gather Monday, April 7 for a joint news conference to discuss preparations for three big events coming to the city.

City officials will hold a Unified Command Public Safety Team briefing to present safety information for the upcoming French Quarter Fest, Jazz and Heritage Fest and Essence Festival of Culture.

French Quarter Festival will happen Thursday, April 10 to Sun, April 13.

Jazz and Heritage Fest will happen on the weekends of Thu, April 24 and Sun, May 4.
