The pharmacy, which has served the greater Mansfield and DeSoto Parish area for more than 60 years, is joining the Health Mart network. Dr. Nilay A. Patel, owner of Mansfield Drug, said the pharmacy will remain independent and locally owned and offer the same service level. “By becoming part of Health Mart’s network, we are able to pass on benefits to our customers such as being able to accept most major health insurance plans at the same co-pays as national chains, competitive pricing, and affordable, high-quality over-the-counter health products,” said Patel.
With the rebranding and the benefits of joining a pharmacy network, Patel expects Mansfield Drug to compete with and surpass pharmacy chains by providing personalized service that can only come from a locally owned, independent store.
Patel shared his enthusiasm for keeping Mansfield Drug an independent, locally owned pharmacy. However, the new partnership will result in updated signage, decor, and a new logo. You can expect to see the changes beginning Tuesday, April 22.
