NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that happened in the Algiers neighborhood.
Around 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, NOPD officers said they responded to the 2100 block of Valentine Court where a man had been shot.
Upon arrival, the victim was found on scene suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead.
No further details are available at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity after an autopsy is done and the family is notified.
