Crusader Community Health plans to open new clinic in South Rockford by 2026

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Crusader Community Health is set to break ground on a new health clinic in south Rockford.

A groundbreaking ceremony is set for 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 10th at the construction site at 4592 Linden Road, at South Alpine.

The healthcare organization said the new clinic, Crusader’s sixth, will “expand Crusader’s reach and offer high quality, accessible primary health care in south Rockford.”

“It was only a matter of time before we outgrew our current footprint,” said Crusader President and CEO Sam Miller. “I am excited for this opportunity to expand and for our team to continue providing excellent care in our community.”

Crusader said in 2022, its annual patient volume was at 59,000. In 2024, Crusader saw more than 64,000 patients.

The new Crusader Community Health Linden clinic is expected to open in summer 2026 and include adult & family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health and CrusaderNOW! immediate care.

Hagney Architects, LLC. and Schmeling Construction Co. have been contracted for the $12.7 million project.
