Rockford Police said at 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, April 5th, officers with the department’s Specialized Community Oriented Policing Enforcement (SCOPE) stopped Gore’s vehicle in the area of 18th Avenue and 8th Street.
Additionally, Gore, a convicted felon for a 2019 carjacking, was driving with a suspended license, authorities said.
He was charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Possession of a Firearm without a Firearm Owner’s Identification, and various traffic offenses.
Gore was booked into the Winnebago County Jail.
