Bernie Sanders is bringing his ‘Fight Oligarchy’ rally to Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is expected to make a stop in Salt Lake City as part of his “Fighting Oligarchy” tour.

The rally is scheduled to take place on April 13 at the Jon M. Huntsman Center at the University of Utah. Doors for the event will open that afternoon, with the rally expected to start in earnest at that evening.

Over recent weeks, Sanders has toured several western states, drawing crowds in Arizona, Colorado and Nevada, voicing his discontent with President Donald Trump and the actions carried out by him and his allies, such as Elon Musk.

According to the tour’s official website, the goal is to have “real discussions” on “how we move forward to take on the Oligarchs and corporate interests who have so much power and influence in this country.”

While many of Sanders’ rallies have included special guest speakers, such as New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) and Nevada Rep. Steven Horsford (D), Sanders appears to be coming to the Beehive State alone.

The tour asks guests to RSVP online before arriving.
