The United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus performed a free concert at the university on Sunday. The group is from Washington D.C. and is the official touring musical representative of the U.S. Army. The members are active-duty soldiers nationally and internationally.
The tour is meant to inspire future generations to serve. Sunday’s theme was “From Sea to Shining Sea” and one member shared the significance of these performances.
Sergeant Grimm said the performance honored Vietnam veterans on the approaching 50 year anniversary of the end of the Vietnam war.
