HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – FEMA announced federal disaster assistance has been approved for the commonwealth of Kentucky to supplement response efforts in areas affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding beginning on April 2 and continuing.
Officials say President Trump’s approval authorizes FEMA to coordinate all disaster relief efforts to alleviate the hardship and suffering caused by the emergency on the local population. Assistance is approved for all 120 Kentucky counties.
