Rash of overnight burglaries in Lakeview, Lincoln Park and Old Town, CPD says

CHICAGO (WGN) — Chicago police on Thursday issued a community alert regarding a string of overnight burglaries in several city neighborhoods.

According to police, an unidentified male targeted businesses in Lake View East, Lincoln Park, and the Old Town Triangle neighborhood in the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 2.

CPD said the alleged offender is male and wore a baseball hat, hooded sweatshirt, sweatpants, gym shoes, and a backpack.

Dates and times of incidents include:

  • 2900 block of N. Broadway on April 2 at 3:53 a.m. (Lake View East)
  • 2900 block of N. Broadway on April 2 at 4:20 a.m. (Lake View East)
  • 300 block of W. Armitage Ave on April 2 at 5:45 a.m. (Lincoln Park)
  • 2200 block of N. Clark on April 2 at 1:35 a.m. (Lincoln Park)
  • 2200 block of N. Clark on April 2 at 1:30 a.m. (Lincoln Park)
  • 1800 block of N. Lincoln on April 2 at 4:20 a.m. (Old Town Triangle)
