Prestonsburg fire crews get unexpected help clearing roads during storms

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (FOX 56) — Prestonsburg fire crews had an unusual assistant on Friday while clearing storm debris.

The Prestonsburg Fire Department said that crews got to work early, responding to reports of downed trees and dangerous water. But they weren’t alone.

“I would like to thank council member Josh Turner for stopping and helping us this morning,” the department wrote.

Crews said it was a blessing to have elected officials step up and help during times of need.
