Tulane University football player T.J. Finley arrested

Disclaimer: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Tulane University’s quarterback T.J. Finley was arrested.

According to court documents Finley was taken into custody on a charge of illegal possession of stolen things equaling $25,000 or more.

There is currently no bond set.

Tulane football had practice Thursday, and Finley was reportedly not present.

Tulane Athletics released the following statement:

We are aware of a situation involving TJ Finley. He has been suspended from the football program pending the outcome of the case. Due to federal laws governing student privacy, we will not disclose any additional information regarding the student, including information related to disciplinary proceedings.

His first court appearance is expected to happen on June 1.
