On April 2, around 3:45 p.m., authorities were called to the 5200 block of Village Court for a domestic incident. The situation was sparked by while the suspect and victim were in a car arguing, officers reported.
The victim told officials the incident escalated when he punched her in the chest, and she hit him back in self-defense.
Ristow proceeded to punch her several times in the face, strangle her and bite her on her on forearm, court documents showed.
The woman told police the suspect said he was going to kill her.
