Louisiana attorney Charlie Weems III to join Political Hall of Fame

ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) – Charles S. “Charlie” Weems III, esteemed Alexandria attorney and community leader, will be inducted into the Louisiana Political Hall of Fame during a special ceremony on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Winnfield, Louisiana. This prestigious recognition honors Weems’ lifetime of service to Louisiana through extensive civic engagement, unwavering commitment to higher education, and a distinguished legal career.

As president of the prominent law firm Gold, Weems, Bruser, Sues & Rundell, Weems has been widely respected as a leading figure in Louisiana’s legal and civic arenas. Weems’ outstanding contributions have garnered numerous accolades, including LSU Law Center’s Distinguished Alumnus of the Year, Louisiana Outstanding Attorney of the Year by the Louisiana Bar Foundation, and recognition as a Louisiana Legend by Louisiana Public Broadcasting. His influence extends beyond law and education into realms such as economic development, diversity advocacy, and broader community service across Central Louisiana.

Throughout his career, Weems has consistently demonstrated dedication to public service, advocating tirelessly for justice reform, educational advancement, and community enrichment. His visionary leadership has significantly shaped Louisiana’s legal landscape and educational institutions, solidifying his legacy as one of the state’s most influential and impactful leaders.

The 2025 Louisiana Political Hall of Fame induction ceremony begins with a reception at the Louisiana Political Museum in Winnfield, followed by dinner and the induction ceremony at the Winnfield Civic Center.  Joining Weems in the 2025 class of inductees are Hon.
