Louisiana attorney Charlie Weems III to join Political Hall of Fame

ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) – Charles S. “Charlie” Weems III, esteemed Alexandria attorney and community leader, will be inducted into the Louisiana Political Hall of Fame during a special ceremony on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Winnfield, Louisiana. This prestigious recognition honors Weems’ lifetime of service to Louisiana through extensive civic engagement, unwavering commitment to higher education, and a distinguished legal career.

As president of the prominent law firm Gold, Weems, Bruser, Sues & Rundell, Weems has been widely respected as a leading figure in Louisiana’s legal and civic arenas. His notable accomplishments include serving on the LSU Board of Supervisors—twice as Chairman—under five governors, leading the effort that successfully transitioned LSU Alexandria into a four-year university, and fulfilling key leadership roles with both the Louisiana State Law Institute and the Louisiana State Bar Association.
