Driver sought in Laurel County after moped driver killed in hit-and-run crash

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Authorities in Laurel County are looking for a driver after a moped driver was rear-ended and killed Thursday morning.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) posted on Facebook that it happened around 4:20 a.m. on Thursday, two miles south of London on US-25.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Deputies said a moped was rear-ended, “causing critical injuries” to the driver, who was taken to a local hospital and died a short time later.

Laurel County law enforcement wrote that deputies are looking for a Chevrolet Suburban that may have front-end damage in connection with the crash.
