Loves Park chicken wing restaurant Baked Wings announces permanent closure

“Thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown us over the past few years. We’ve made the difficult decision not to reopen our Loves Park location,” the owners wrote on Facebook.

The restaurant, at 6390 E. Riverside Blvd, announced a “temporary closure” on March 9th but has since decided against reopening.

Baked Wings began as a carryout business in 2020, operating out of The Pomodoro’s kitchen, 6500 E Riverside Blvd, and opened its own restaurant in November 2022.

In September 2023, the restaurant announced it would create a new location in Madison, Wisconsin, at 250 State St, but no record of its opening could be found.

The restaurant used marijuana puns in its advertising, including offering a “420 Munchie Hour” from 4:20 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
