Kona Ice to offer free treats for taxpayers in Louisiana

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—Kona Ice in Bossier City and Benton will offer free shaved ice on Tax Day.

To celebrate National Chill Out, Kona Ice will offer free cups of shave iced to help taxpayers relax after filing their returns. Kona Ice trucks will be stationed at the following locations, serving up their signature shaved ice flavors:

• 3950 Wayne Ave, Bossier City, LA 71112, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• 623 Kingston Road, Benton, LA 71006, from noon to 2:00 p.m.

“This time of year can be overwhelming, so we want to give people a reason to smile and take a break,” said Katelyn Stephens at Kona Ice of Kona Ice of Benton & Haughton. “National Chill Out Day is all about helping our communities relax, refresh and enjoy a little tropical treat— on us!”

You can get your free cup of shaved ice from participating locations on April 15.
