Funeral services set for Baton Rouge tire shop owner ‘Bill’ Simon

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Funeral arrangements for the renowned tire shop owner, William “Bill” Simon, who was killed in a crash, have been made.

The funeral is set for Friday, April 4, at St. Alphonsus Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Road. Visitation is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The service will start at 12:30 p.m. The burial will take place at Greenoaks Memorial at 2:30 p.m.

An additional visitation is available from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home on Florida Boulevard.

The business owner was known for his commercials for the auto and tire shop, Simple Simon, on Airline Highway. Simon was involved in the community, formerly served as a district governor for the East Baton Rouge Lions Club and contributed to breast cancer awareness fundraisers.
