According to the NOPD, at 11:16 a.m. on March 3, the driver was reportedly headed north on Downman Road near the corner of Lewis Road, when they hit a juvenile riding a bike in the area.
Officers said the driver allegedly did not stop but instead left the neighborhood after making a U-turn onto Downman Road, leaving the juvenile critically injured.
The vehicle was described as a “burnt orange-color” Dodge Challenger, possibly a 2014 to 2019 model, with rally stripes, a Louisiana temporary license plate and significant damage to its front, as a result of the collision, said officers.
The driver was described as having a dark-complexion , slim-build Black female with dreadlocks, possibly in her 20s.
