Two teens arrested for stealing car, car burglaries in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Police in Rockford arrested two teens Saturday in connection with a stolen car and car burglaries.

According to the Rockford Police Department, officers responded to the 4100 block of Laramie Drive and found a vehicle that had been reported stolen earlier, still running.

Authorities said the two teen suspects were nearby and in possession of burglary tools at the time of their arrest.

A 17-year-old juvenile male was charged with Burglary to a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and then released to his parents.

A 16-year-old juvenile male was charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and taken to the Winnebago County Juvenile Detention Center.
