Michelle Yeoh responds to local mom’s request to borrow dress

A local mother-daughter duo is going viral after award-winning actress, Michelle Yeoh, responded to the mom’s request to borrow her dress for her daughter’s upcoming wedding.

“I saw Michelle Yeoh on the Screen Actors Guild Awards and I thought that’s a dress I could wear. I don’t usually like formal, you know the last time I wore a formal gown was probably 1973,” said Tracy Kauffman-Wood.

Tracy sent Michelle Yeoh a message through Instagram and her daughter Amity documented the entire interaction and posted it on TikTok.

“It’s very cute to see everyone’s support and everyone’s like ‘I’m rooting for your mom. I want her to get the dress’ even though we might need to reach out to Armani,” said Amity Wood.

Michelle Yeoh responded by saying in part:

“What a fabulous and fearless mom!! Great taste, Tracy! The dress is the brilliant handiwork of Armani Privé (and sadly not in my closet!) Wishing the loving couple the most beautiful, magical wedding!”

Amity did extend a wedding invitation to Michelle Yeoh for her October nuptials.

“She can wear the dress to the wedding. I wouldn’t mind,” said Amity.
