‘Disgruntled contractor’ spraypainted hate symbol on Pennsylvania building; police

BEAVER BORO, Pa. (WHTM) — Charges are pending against a contractor police say tagged a Pennsylvania residential building with a hate symbol in a business dispute.

This happened in Beaver County on Friday.

According to Beaver Borough Police, a hate symbol was spraypainted on the side of a residential building in the borough. Police described it as an “act of antisemitism.”

An arrest was made Sunday.

Police said the individual responsible “was identified as a disgruntled contractor who specifically tagged the property due to a business dispute.”

“The symbols that were spray-painted – and quickly removed – do not reflect the values of Beaver Borough,” police said in a statement. “We want to thank our community, the Beaver County Commissioners, and Beaver County Crime Solvers for their cooperation and assistance in this matter. Your support plays a vital role in keeping our town safe.”
