Partly cloudy skies will remain today with a few lingering, high-elevation snow showers. Temperatures should climb into the mid-50s along the Wasatch Front this afternoon, with highs near 70 degrees in lower Washington County.
Winds will be breezy across the state today with a weak ridging building in into Monday.
By Monday afternoon, the next system arrives with gusty winds — 35-45 mph possible in western Utah — and increasing mountain snow. Heavy snowfall is likely Monday night into Tuesday, with healthy snowfall amounts of 6-12 inches or more expected in the northern Utah mountains.
Snow could also reach the valleys Tuesday, with a trace to 2 inches possible (benches may see 2-5”). Another storm is on track for late Wednesday through Friday, though details are still uncertain. Expect more valley rain, mountain snow, and below-normal temperatures through the week.
