Clay County man allegedly shot at kids playing in driveway, deputies say

CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Manchester man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly shooting at children from his residence.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that deputies got a call on Saturday from a woman claiming that a man allegedly shot at two kids from the doorway of his residence on Crane Creek Drive. The kids were reportedly playing with a ball on the driveway at the time.

The woman reportedly told the CCSO that Timmy Madden, 54, of Manchester, allegedly shot four times in the direction of the kids.

“The caller provided video footage of Madden shooting his pistol out of his door in the direction of the juveniles twice,” deputies wrote.

After the woman showed the video footage to law enforcement, Madden was reportedly arrested. He was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment – discharging a firearm.

The shooting investigation remains ongoing.
