Victim killed in hit-and-run after exiting car along I-94 after crash

CHICAGO — A person was killed early Saturday morning after they were hit by a car following a crash along the Bishop Ford expressway.

According to Illinois State Police, the crash unfolded around 4:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-94, just south of 115th Street.

Troopers said the victim was inside a vehicle that was involved in a crash along the expressway, though it is unclear if they were driving.

Following the crash, the victim got out of their vehicle but was struck by an oncoming car that fled the scene.

Authorities have not identified the individual killed and an investigation is underway.

No other injuries were reported.
