Around 2:30 a.m., a patrol officer stopped a vehicle with three people inside near the area of Silverton Road and Lana Avenue NE.
One of the passengers, 28-year-old Gavino Rocha, was found with a handgun, nearly eight ounces of methamphetamine, cash and drug paraphernalia.
Police said Rocha initially resisted arrest, but he was eventually taken into custody on charges of felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession and delivery of methamphetamine, as well as unlawful manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school.
The driver, 37-year-old Michael Trevino, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant and driving without a license.
The other passenger, 41-year-old Justin Tickell, was cited after being found with a small amount of methamphetamine.
Both Trevino and Rocha were taken to the Marion County Jail.
