NOFD remembers fallen firefighter at funeral, offers ‘final salute’
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — On Friday, March 28, New Orleans fire fighters remembered one of their own.
That morning they gathered with family and friends of Dwayne Jackson for his funeral at Gentilly Baptist Church.
The 41-year old fire fighter was killed in a car crash on March 13. The funeral was followed by a procession and “final salute” at Station Eight on Florida Boulevard.
