NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal dog attack that occurred on Thursday, March 20.
36-year-old Chad Bridges was booked with negligent homicide in the death of 81-year-old Barbara Stewart.
Family members say Stewart was taking out trash at her home in the Little Woods neighborhood of New Orleans when Bridges’ dogs escaped from a fenced yard and attacked her. She later died at the hospital.
At last word, Bridges’ bond had not been set.
