Flyfishers and tiers from around the country made their annual treck to the Baxter County Fairgrounds for day one of the 26th International Sowbug Roundup on Thursday.

Tommy Hagan, a member of the North Arkansas Fly Fishers who host the annual event, says Thursday had a big start with great crowds.

AGFC’s Graham gave a trout presentation
Guest speaker Tim Flagler gave a presentation on fly tying and locals guides Chad Johnson and John Berry gave talks about the rivers. Arkansas Game and Fish’s Christy Graham spoke on developments regarding local trout populations.
Hagan says the out of towners always enjoy visiting the Ozarks especially since many from the north are still dealing with winter in their home states.
