Daviess County fire crews battle semi-truck fire in Stanley
DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Officials with the Daviess County Fire Department (DCFD) said the first crew had a busy two-hour window on Friday night when staff responded to seven calls, one of them being a semi-truck fire.

“Both stations responded to 2 possible structure fires, 1 fire alarm, 1 vehicle fire, and multiple medical calls many of which were dispatched simultaneously,” the department posted on Facebook Saturday morning.

Members of the DCFD shared photos on social media of a semi-truck that had reportedly caught on fire around 8:30 p.m. on Friday on the 1700 block of the Audubon Parkway in Stanley.

“We want to thank our dispatchers at Owensboro Daviess County Central Dispatch for their ability to handle so many calls in such a short window and provide us the information we need to respond to them safely and efficiently,” Daviess County fire officials wrote.

Crews thanked all of the volunteer fire departments that responded to help Friday night.
