Something big is coming to Hickory Park this summer. The Baxter Summer Concert Series is evolving into ArkanFest, a one-weekend music festival set for June 12 – 14, promising to bring bigger acts to the Twin Lakes Area.

On Friday, ArkanFest organizers revealed their first headliner: Joe Nichols, a multi-platinum country artist and Arkansas native known for blending traditional roots with a modern flair. With six No. 1 singles and hits like “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off,” “Yeah,” and “Brokenheartsville,” Nichols has cemented himself as a staple of contemporary country music and has earned him multiple ACM, CMA, and Grammy nominations throughout his career.
