All three kindergarten teachers at Abilene’s TLCA fired due to ‘unacceptable’ discipline practice

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – All three kindergarten teachers at Abilene’s Texas Leadership Chartership Academy have been fired due to an “unacceptable” discipline practice.

TLCA officials confirm they began an investigation Friday morning after receiving a report that, “a Kindergarten teacher had a student walk in a circle around the classroom while other students chanted ‘shameful, shameful, shameful'”.

During the investigation, the TLCA officials learned that all three kindergarten teachers had been using the same practice as a disciplinary measure.

As a result of the investigation, all three teachers were fired and the situation was reported to Child Protective Services.

Parents were notified of the situation as, and those with students in kindergarten will receive additional communication soon about the school’s plans to move forward.
