Marc Brown, 67, of Allegheny County, was sentenced Thursday to spend between 12 and 30 years in state prison, AG Dave Sunday said. He pled guilty to charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children, and related misdemeanors.
“This defendant ultimately could not escape accountability for heinous conduct perpetrated years ago, thanks to the hard work of investigators and the grand jurors, and the bravery of the survivors,” Sunday said in a statement. “This significant period of incarceration is appropriate for someone who repeatedly harms children.”
While Brown was a member, Sunday said he sexually abused two children he were close to dozens of times from 2004 to 2006. He groped, watched them shower and would sneak into their room at night to assault them, Sunday said.
The 49th Statewide Investigating Grand Jury heard testimony from several other members regarding abuse.
Senior Deputy Attorney General Alicia Werner prosecuted the case.
