
Madison police said they were notified by Kroger on Highway 51 about the incident around 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25. Police were able to identify a suspect description, along with the suspects’ vehicle.
According to investigators, the same suspects committed similar crimes at other Kroger grocery stores in the Jackson-metro area.
The suspects’ vehicle was described as a Silver Kia Soul with a North Carolina tag, and police passed the information onto departments in Louisiana and Texas.
At 11:00 p.m., Madison police were notified that the vehicle had been located and was stopped by the Smith County Sheriff’s Office in Texas. Three suspects were arrested on charges in Smith County, Texas.
According to the Smith County Jail’s website, the suspects were identified as Alice Fisher, 67; Marita Williams, 45; and Tylec Williams, 26. Madison police placed a hold on all three suspects.
In Madison, Fisher will be charged with felony false pretense and felony conspiracy to commit a crime. Marita and Tylec Williams will be charged with felony conspiracy to commit a crime.
All three suspects will remain in custody at the Smith County Jail as they await criminal proceedings there.
