Judge sentences Zachary men convicted of stealing guns from Jackson store to sell
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Two Zachary men convicted of stealing guns from a sporting goods store for arms dealing in June 2023 were sentenced to federal prison.
Keyshawn Newman, 24, and Ransom Parker, 27, pleaded guilty to stealing guns from Thompson Creek Sporting Goods in Jackson to sell the weapons. According to the Department of Justice, police officers arrived at the business to find four suspects carrying guns running from the store, dropping firearms as they fled. Twelve guns were reportedly taken.
