The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office said that detectives arrested Jeaon Pindexter of Gonzales. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail and charged with two counts of attempted second-degree murder, illegal weapon use of weapons, aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
Deputies responded to a shooting at a house on Prairie South Drive in Gonzales around 7 a.m. Investigators determined that two juvenile males were in a vehicle exiting their driveway when another individual approached and opened fire.
Both victims had injuries that were not life-threatening. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Detectives confirmed that everyone involved knew each other.
The investigation remains ongoing.
